Ongoing Education

Your Optometry registration needs to be renewed each year and this is once again governed by The Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Board. Some compulsory seminars must be attended each year for the renewal of registration.

The Annual Practising Certificate (APC) renewal process involves continuing education; you need to gain 15 General CPD points, and 5 TPA (Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents) points. You need these 20 points each year to be able to renew your APC.
